Our journey began not in a fashion house or a big city, but in the humble heart of a Rajput household during one of the most uncertain times — the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our founder, A private school teacher by profession, was someone who never imagined she'd be running a fashion brand one day. During the lockdown, while the world paused, she opened herself up to learning — how to use a laptop, how social media works, and most importantly, how to turn a passion into purpose. It was during those quiet months that she discovered her true calling. Teaching was no longer fulfilling her — she wanted something of her own, something meaningful.

With a deep love for Jaipuri prints, and a lifelong hobby of home décor and textile curation, she began dreaming of something new — a boutique rooted in handcrafted traditions, filled with prints and patterns that speak of Rajasthan’s soul.

But dreaming was just the start. As a Rajput daughter-in-law, building a business independently wasn’t easy. Social expectations, family responsibilities, and the fear of judgment made the idea seem far-fetched. But what she had was rare — support from her husband, who believed in her vision wholeheartedly.

With a tiny stock of suits and just one shelf in her home, she launched Label Kalwa — named after her sasural (in-laws' village), Kalwa, a tribute to her roots and the place that gave birth to this journey. The first few orders came from friends and well-wishers, but soon word spread. The designs, the quality, the honest pricing, and above all — the personal story behind every suit — began to resonate with customers.

What started as a side hustle became a full-fledged passion project.

Today, Label Kalwa operates from a larger store inside her home, with a dedicated manufacturing unit, a growing team of artisans, and customers from every corner of India. We’ve served hundreds of women who seek elegant, affordable, and handcrafted everyday wear.
